A quick note: I’ve just started this eBay username to try to separate out my main business - Vinyl Records - from the other items I'm selling. While this username is new and has little feedback, I’ve been on eBay since 1998 and I invite you to check my feedback under username webvinyl. Thanks!

DESCRIPTION

Dick Whittinghill / Frances Archer / Beverly Gile / The Disneyland Minstrels - “Walt Disney Presents The Story Of Californian And Its Music” Disneyland Records ST 3941 (Mono) from 1966. Hard to find Children’s Historical Spoken Word and Folk Music album telling the story of California. Narrated by famous DJ, Actor and Jazz Trumpeter Dick Whittinghill with Vocals by Frances Archer, Beverly Gile and The Disneyland Minstrels. In a Gatefold Cover with a Bound-In Full Color 11 Page Booklet. A must for Disney Collectors and fans of the Golden State. NO Cutouts, Promo markings or Barcode!

CONDITION

The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some slight basic shelf wear and corner softening. There is a very faint green smear (ink, crayon..?) in the upper left corner on the back. Still very solid with no writing, splits, stains, tears, cutouts, etc. and I would rate it as VG+. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking barely played. If you look closely you can spot a couple light scuffs but very close to New condition and plays pretty much perfectly Near Mint all through. I’m calling it EX to account for the very slight visual flaws but could probably just as easily be called NM and plays like it. The Labels show a couple faint spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.

Overseas orders pay actual cost of shipping and must pay by PayPal (or other methods by pre-arrangement) in a timely manner. You are responsible for any fees - Customs, taxes, V.A.T., etc. - that you may inccur. Likewise lost or stolen items. I am happy to ship by any method that you prefer and to Register, Insure or otherwise protect your shipment but these all cost $$$ and are, therefore, optional. I am happy to combine postage on multiple purchases for International orders and only charge actual postage - please ask for an invoice, I will have to calculate costs.

Please read and understand: EBay / PayPal now requires door to door tracking and Insurance on all shipments! I strongly encourage customers to choose this option for both of our protection. I understand that this is painfully expensive particularly for overseas bidders. I am going out on a limb by allowing my overseas customers to choose shipping via regular 1st Class mail. If you choose to have your item shipped without Tracking or Insurance, you specifically agree to relinquish any and all rights to claims or refunds for loss or damage via eBay, PayPal or Credit Card companies and to abide exclusively by the terms as set forth in this auction. My apologies for the necessity of the legalese... once bitten…
