New sealed vinyl. Almendra or more commonly Almendra I, is the name by which the first studio album of the Argentine rock band Almendra is known, released on January 15, 1970 by RCA Vik. The album cover only says "Almendra". This Album has a decisive influence on the founding of the musical subgenre known in Argentina as "National Argentine Rock". It is considered the sixth best Argentine rock album ever in the list of the 100 best produced by Rolling Stone magazine. The song "Muchacha Ojos de Papel" with which the album opens, is a classic of rock in Spanish and has been considered the second best song in the history of Argentine rock. Almendra was composed of Luis Alberto Spinetta (guitar and first voice), Edelmiro Molinari (first guitar), Emilio del Guercio (bass and backing vocals) and Rodolfo García (drums). On the theme "Figuración" Pappo participates in choirs, and on the theme "Laura va" Rodolfo Alchourron participates conducting an orchestra and Rodolfo Mederos on bandoneon.
