This album put the Scorpions on the map. I remember the HITS that kept rolling off this album in 1984-1985. I used to make these cool “mix tapes” Maxwell XL II tapes. One night on a trip to Cincinnati, cruising down I-75. Just as we came in view of the skyline of the city, the sun dropping in the West.....Big City Nights started to play. Mind blowing.
The article is from the Cleveland Plain Dealer this past Summer. There’s a snippet about the Scorpions last minute invite to the World Series Of Rock. Their first ever United States LIVE performance. I attended that show. AC/DC was supposed to open the show. We were running late. 1979 stadium shows were wide open. We had coolers with gallon jugs of beer and much SUBSTANCE. We heard the music and ran to the Stadium gates. We caught the Scorpions encore of The Zoo. When they finished, the crowd went crazy with applause . ROCK ON!
Vinyl needs cleaned and is in Good+ condition. Play tested.
Cover is Good+ condition slight ring wear. Some storage damage
Sleeve is actually split on both sides. Like a gatefold.
