La Maquina de Hacer Pajaros is the first studio album by the Argentine progressive rock band of the same name, released in 1976 through the Talent Microfon label. After the dissolution of Sui Generis, Charly Garcia decided to abandon his adolescent lyrics and start making more elaborate music and different lyrics. The album is considered the most expensive in the history of national rock and the cover was designed by Juan Oreste Gatti, who would also contribute to the design of the band's next album. The Argentine cartoonist and humorist Crist made them the funny comic for the album cover, where the protagonist introduced the band, defining it as "a progressive bird".
