In 1980, FORTY years ago last year, former Black Sabbath lead vocalist Ozzy Osbourne released his debut album (in the UK, then early 1981 in America). The band sarted out as being called Blizzard of Ozz, but at the last minute, that became the album's title, and Ozzy's name was used instead. (Proof of this is on the back of the sleeve, which reads: "Produced by Blizzard of Ozz".) By 1982, a special picture disc was released. It is called 'Live Mr. Crowley', (or 'Mr. Crowley Live'), and each side has a great shot of the Prince of Darkness, and the godfather of hard rock and heavy metal: Ozzy Osbourne!

This was a special collector's item, released in a limited number. Yes, there are currently several here on Ebay, in various conditions and for various prices. Most of the time, sellers ask a high price for vintage Ozzy memorabilia. But not today! Grab this Ozzy goodie, and at a great price! Vinyl has a few light surface marks, and probably sounds terrible. Pic discs didn't start to sound good until the late 90s or so. The original die cut sleeve is a bit tattered and torn in spots, but overall, it's not bad at all.

The pic disc, as mentioned, looks really good, but I cannot verify its play. I never play my picture discs. (Never have, as I just don't see the reason to.) But I can find no heavy scratches, scuffs, or gouges on the record. Just those very light surface marks. A great gift idea for that rockin' Ozzy fan in your life, or to treat yourself (because you KNOW you're worth it)!!
