I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers.
I will only post completely insured and tracked.
All singles come with the sleeves they're pictured with, I don't use repros,so if it's with what looks like an original sleeve, it is an original sleeve!
Here we have the RARE 2nd pressing of the Beates debut single. Rather than the Red Labels of the first copies (either with or without "Made In Gt. Britain" text), which heralded the very first pressings, these second labels are much more scarce. Things moved so fast for the Beatles through 1963 and since their debut single (which didn't break the top ten at the time however you measure it!), they had released an album, and 3 singles, two of which (From Me To You and She Loves You) had been number ones in the UK and had started to garner interest in the US too! So by the Autumn of 1963 (when this Rare copy is dated to!) both the Beatles and most of their fans were only looking forward. Some rare fans were also keen to fill in their back catalogue, but most would settlefor the first 2 singles either on the EP or the album that contained them both (little did most fans know that actually copies of their debut 7" actually had a deifferent version of Love Me Do on it, unavailable either on the LP, EP,or even any of the 1970s reissues, with Ringo on drums rather than Andy White- This copy is a rare fullyfledged Ringo copy!) However, this is an example of one such fan's purchase. These were pressed in signifficantly lower numbers than the also rare 1st "Red" copies, and are now very sought after.
Record Condition: VG, generally lovely in normal light, when angled under strong, direct light in an otherwise darened room, there is a generallight dusting of surface hairlines and marks that slightly dullen the reflection, absolutely nothing significant. Plays wonderfully, with just very light static on the run-ins/outs. Really lovely!
Labels Condition: VG Sadly the centre has been removed, however this has been done carefully, causing no tearing or other damage to the labels. The labels themselves are beautifully clean and crisp, and are completelyfree from stickers/stains/graffiti etc.
