The disc meant for the band the entrance to the list of the most important groups of Argentina; however, it also marked a departure from their previous albums, from a more experimental streak, whereas Jessico is a more mainstream electronic pop album. However, rock also has space on the album, with songs like "Soy Rock", "La Fox" and the frenetic "Pendejo". Jessico is considered number 16 among the 100 best Argentine rock albums ever in the list of Rolling Stone magazine. It was also voted "album of the year" by readers and journalists of Rolling Stone, Inrokuptibles and supplement Yes! of the newspaper Clarín. Also in the survey conducted among musicians, the supplement NO of the newspaper Página 12 was chosen as the "best album of 2001". Abroad, it won the "best Latin rock album" award according to La Banda Elastica magazine in Los Angeles, and was nominated for "best Latin rock album" by the Latin Grammy.
