Many thanks for your interest in my records! I've collected records for over 30 years and as such sometimes take stock and realise how many duplicates I have accrued, and how many records I no longer listen to. The records I'm listing today are generally of lesser rarity, but are in really nice condition, I grade using the RRPG Record Collector grading system, though feel that I grade down if anything, please check my feedback for proof of this! I have sold many records (some incredibly rare ones in the 4 figures) over the years, so please rest assured that my gradings have been satisfactory so far! Though, If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me before leaving negative feedback. I haven't had negative feedback so far, and don't intend to start now if I can at all help it!
I'll combine records for the same price for up to 3 disks (double LPs count as 2!), and at as reduced a rate as I can beyond that! International bidders please ask, as I'll send them as cheaply as possible for you,but they must be sent tracked and insured.
THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME 4TH (3B?) PRESS No Publishing Date GOLD Sleeve
Here we have The Beatles' debut LP in it's 4th (or some people call it the second variation of the 3rd?!) variation. To me it's the 4th variation, and whilstnot quite as rare as it's extremelyrare predecessors, is still very rare. This is the last signifficant interration before the final style that was used for most of the copies of Please Please Me, and With The Beatles, before EMI added another label adition the "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO..." text. This however was the final interration before they added the publishing date and is quite sought after, but also rare because they sometimes (as in this case) come in a GOLD PARLOPHONE style sleeve (hard right alligned photo credits- please see my other current listings under the 1st GOLD PARLOPHONE listing for more information regarding this).
Sadly whilst this copy looks absolutely lovely, I won't go any further without telling you that there is signifficant groove wear to the first few revolutions, and it seems to jumpa few times, though plays wonderfully from the 1st chorus of I Saw Her Standing There onwards, it's literally just the first few bars of the first song... damnit!
Record Condition: I'mnot going to grade it due to those first few bars, however, the rest looks likea comfortable EX-, and plays fantastically.Really beautiful, such a shame about those first few revolutions!
Labels Condition: VG+ Very nice examples of these rare labels, just a few light spindle trails near the central spindle holes, when angled correctly into direct light, and slight rub near the central spindle holes, though very little. And I've only just noticed an indented neat "RB" to the left of the "Palophone"text on side 2,no ink, just an indent, like youmight make with a fingernail or something... Anyway, very hard to see, again, only possible when angled correcty under strong direct light.  Nocentrally embossed tax code to either side.
Sleeve Condition: VG- for these GOLD PARLOPHONE sleeves, it's definitely above average, as the bottom flip-back tab has only disattatched half way along. The sleeve is completely free from graffiti, and it's faurly crisp and clean, the spine shows a little wear-through,but is still most legible. he laminated front surface is in nice clean condition. All-round decent condition for one of these very vulnerable Ernest J.Day Gold sleeves!
