I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers.
I will only post completely insured and tracked.
THE BEATLES My Bonnie EP Cry For A Shadow Why Saints Polydor Scroll 21 610 GER
Here we have a wonderful addition to any Beatles collector's collection. As most collectors know, long before The Beatles had recorded Love Me Do at Abbey Road, they had actually recorded a few sides with Tony Sheridan in Hamburg, only one of these was actually released inthe UK "My Bonnie", but whilst the Beatles releases started to gain fever pitch,Polydor (who owned the recordings) were quick to capitalise, and rereleased My Bonnie, followed by Why/Cry For A Shadow and Ain't She Sweet/ If You "Love"(actually "Leave") Me Baby. These are great tracks and did sell, but comparatively poorly without the complicit advertisement from the boys themselves, and the sound was clearly set firmly in their "cutting their teeth reinventing cover versions"gear, rather than the dizzy heights of pretty much reinventing UK songwriting original material! Therefore most Beatles fans stayed away from these releases, great though they are. Additional to those 3 singles mentioned, there wasafurther release, an EP, pressed in Germany, but sometimes available in the UK to special orders which combined the four sides of the first two Polydor titles. This was issued twice, first as the enchanting Polydor Scroll label, and later as the moremodern red label. This is the original Orange Scroll Label in all it's glory!
Record Condition: VG-/VG Plays very strongly with just an occasional tick, but great strong audio all-round. Visually when angled under strong direct light the surfaces are not museum pieces, and betray several light marks, but audibly this is very playable!
Labels Condition: EX- Really lovely labels completely clean and crisp, free from any signs of stains/stickers/ grafitti/ tears or abrasions! Pretty perfect!
Sleeve Condition: VG Very vulnerable sleeve being non-laminated, however, completely free from grafitti or wear-throughs, lovely legible spine (yes there are titles along it!) a little edge rub, but no wear-thoughs, sadly a few points where possibly stickers have been removed and caused some discolouration and damage, but still a very decent copy of this sought after EP sleeve.
