Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard's 17th, yes seventeenth, studio album is a sister record to K.G. Explorations into Microtonal Tuning, Volume 2, which arrived only a few months before. It carries on with plenty of the same ideas and has been well received by fans and critics. The tunes are more compact than before, but with plenty of extra weird flourishes, and the record is bookended by two hugely different versions of the outfit's new but unofficial theme song 'K.G.L.W' - one is prog-folk, one is doom-metal, both are great.
