Before he passed away in 2017, Marcus Intallex presented Sunandbass Recordings with a clutch of previously unreleased tracks. With the blessing of his family, those tracks are finally seeing the light of day four years on. They neatly fit into the machine soul/sci-fi D&B sound that the Manchester producer fine-tuned over his long and storied career, with intergalactic electronics and supernova synth sounds wrapping around bustling breakbeats and rumbling basslines. We're really enjoying the jungle-techno brilliance of 'Roller 170' and the warmer, dreamier 'Deep Stepper', though the punchier final track 'Ninety One' is also genuinely excellent.
