Ruby Andrews recorded 'It Takes Me Away' many years ago at the celebrated Zodiac studios. Apparently she didn't think it was up to much back then but when MD Recordings got in touch and told her otherwise she was happy to get it out there. It has been remastered for the occasion and pairs authentic soul history with lo-fi production, big horns and an acrobatic vocal that will have you in a spin in no time. 'You're My Life' is a more dubbed out and slow motion soul viber.
