La Vela Puerca is a Uruguayan rock band and was (with a fusion of different rhythms) formed in 1995, made up of Sebastian Teysera, alias El Enano (voice); Nicolas Mandril Lieutier (bass); Sebastian Cebolla Cebreiro (voice); Jose Pepe Canedo (drums); Rafael Di Bello (guitar); Santiago Butler (guitar); Carlos Coli Quijano (saxophone) and Alejandro Piccone (trumpet). Lucas De Azevedo was the band's drummer until mid-2004, when he had to leave the band due to health problems. Protagonist of the litter of new Uruguayan rock from the second half of the nineties, it is currently one of the groups in its country with the highest attendance. She was one of the pioneers in projecting herself to audiences in other countries, mainly Argentina, but also in other countries, including Europeans.
