CONDITION DETAILS Import from Italy. Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, and surface impressions (front/back); more noticeable surface abrasion near top-left on front. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is mostly easy-to-read with wear. Minor shelf-wear along top-edge, heavier wear along bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Where Crowded House's previous album, Temple of Low Men, showcased the often dark side of a man alone with his thoughts, Woodface represents the joy of reunion and the freedom of a collaborative effort -- more than half of the album was originally conceived as a Finn Brothers project, which was Tim and Neil's first crack at writing together. The songs are easily their finest to date, combining flawless melodies and the outstanding harmonies of the brothers' perfectly matched voices. Sales of Woodface indicated that Crowded House remained hugely popular in Australia. Their continued diminishing success in the US was countered by increased sales in Europe where the album reached several national charts, including a top 10 hit in the UK. The first single, Chocolate Cake, was a humorous comment on American excess, which perhaps unsurprisingly failed to make the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. It did, however, peak at No. 2 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. Although the second single, Fall at Your Feet, entered the lower reaches of the Hot 100 and It's Only Natural peaked at No. 5 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. Outside the US, the singles from Woodface were more successful, with Weather To You reaching No. 7 on UK charts, Four Seasons In One Day making it to No. 26.
