This is one pure, fuzzed-out, reverb-drenched garage rock masterpiece! The Beguiled cranked out a volatile blend of garage/punk/rock'a'billy nastiness that totally blows the current batch of mop-top garage wanna-be squares into oblivion! This record is great because it combines garage raunch with Stooges power and avoids sounding derivative or retro. The Beguiled borrowed freely from the past while creating a truly contemporary sound. Too bad these brilliant cats broke up because modern rock'n'roll ( if you can call it that! ) really, really needs these guys.
