This is an auction for a 1970 first press of Slade’s Play It Loud LP.
This was rescued from my uncle’s collection - he was going to transfer it from his shed - where it’s sat for 40 years - to his skip!
Amazingly after a clean up it actually plays quite well. There are some occasional surface marks but the important thing is I didn’t detect a jump/skip. There are some clicks on side 2
I played it on two separate turntables - a low end unforgiving Sony and a kinder Audio Technica. Occasional dead wax crackle but no major playback issues apart from those clicks.
Sleeve has a vague woody odour but is in pretty decent shape, original plain inner is fine.
Overall a solid, playable copy of this LP. Given it’s 40 year residence in a shed it’s probably not for the fussier vinyl collector, but fine if you want a copy to listen to rather than look at.
Given all the above info, please do bid accordingly.
