                 This is an evening melody of romantic mood, using five notes omitting the    second

                 and the fifth. The third and the sixth notes are flat giving the following scale:

                 Sa Ga Ma Dha Ni Sa

                 Sa Ni Dha Ma Ga Sa

                 The  compositions consists of Alap,Jod,Jhala and gat set to Rupak-Tala-a   

                 seven beat rhythmic cycle with a 3+2+2 division.

Side Two:RAGA MANJ KHAMAJ (22:50)

                  This is a melody of the night with a romantic mood which is very popular and 

                  enjoys certain freedoms as Thumri-Raga with seven notes. New Raga in the

                  history of Indian music have often been created by the great musicians in

                  India. The most important indian musicians of this century, Allauddin Khan,

                 created Manj Khamaj. The scale of this Raga is as follows:

                 Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa

                 Sa Ni Dha Pa Ma Ga Re Sa

                 The composition consists of two Gats in Teen Tala, a sixteen beat rhythmic 

                 cycle with 4+4+4+4 division.
