Romance is the eighth studio album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel, released on November 19, 1991 by the WEA Latina label.On the album, Luis Miguel covers twelve boleros, originally published between 1944 and 1986. The first two singles, "Inolvidable" and "No sé tú" reached first place on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart in the United States and six remained  months at the top of the Mexican charts. "Mucho corazón" and "Como" were among the top spots on Hot Latin Songs, and "Tú" and "La barca" stay at the top of the charts throughout Latin America. The artist promoted Romance with a tour of the United States and Latin America. The album received positive comments from music critics, who praised Luis Miguel's voice and the production of the album. The singer received several achievements, including a Grammy nomination for best Latin pop album.Romance was a commercial success, as it sold more than 13 million copies worldwide. In the United States, it remained thirty-two weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and was the first album in the Spanish language. This album  was also certified a gold record in Brazil and Taiwan, the first time for a Spanish-speaking singer. Romance is the best-selling album in Argentina by a non-national interpreter. The album was recognized for reviving the bolero genre all over the world.
