Bobby Hutcherson "The Kicker'" Blue Note Records Tone Poet Series 180g LP ... M- Condition. Looks like NEW. The outer poly bag was removed. Vinyl would pass as unplayed. 180 Gram LP is in an audiophile MoFi sleeve.  Heavy Deluxe Gatefold Cover looks great with shine and no fingerprints. See pics ... a few of internal label images are stock pics as I did not want to over-handle the vinyl. First time on Vinyl! This sold out quickly and remains hard-to-find. No Reserve.
"The Kicker" is an album by the American jazz vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, recorded in December 1963 for Blue Note but not released on the label until 1999 as a limited edition CD. A month earlier in 1963, the same musicians recorded guitarist Grant Green's album "Idle Moments" released in 1965.  Hutcherson is joined by Joe Henderson, Grant Green, Duke Pearson, Bob Cranshaw and Al Harewood.
The AllMusic review stated: "The first half features the vibraphonist in a cooking hard bop session with Joe Henderson and Duke Pearson, starting with an energetic take on a sizzling Hutcherson original, 'For Duke P.' Guitarist Grant Green is added for the second half, beginning with the first recording of Henderson's 'The Kicker', which became well known from its later rendition on Horace Silver's best selling album 'Song for My Father".
Mastered from the original master tapes. Recorded at Van Gelder Studios, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Mastered from the original analog tapes at Cohearent Audio. Manufactured at Record Technology Inc. (RTI) on audiophile 180 gram vinyl. The LP is housed in deluxe gatefold packaging.
