An explosive combo that pioneered progressive and arena rock, each new sound increasing their influence and legacy.They clashed frequently, but these frictions resulted in a decade's worth of remarkable music. This album is simply a milestone in the development of the group over the times - it is 1989 and the main part of the original group is there, with a great drummer keeping the groove in explosive motion. The addidtional musicians are a welcome expansion to the songmaterial and make the overall sound of this recording interesting, coloured and powerful. Pete Townshend was always open for cinemascope views, and here it is - a powerful, soundscape. A great rendition of the Tommy songs and other newer material...(AllMusic User Review)
