No Prayer For The Dying is the eighth studio album by the heavy metal band Iron Maiden released on October 1, 1990. Janick Gers replaces Adrian Smith on guitar. Smith's compositional talent and guitar technique are lost, but Janick Gers's strength and desire are gained, especially for concerts. No Prayer for the Dying turned the sound much simpler and more superficial compositions, trying to recover the basic musical style of the first albums (such as Iron Maiden and Killers), in which no keyboards or synthesizers were used. Despite this, there are songs that pleased critics like "Holy Smoke" or "Bring You Daughter... To The Slaughter". It is worth mentioning the drawing on the cover, where an Eddie the Head with long hair appears again, which he lost in Piece of Mind and did not get it back until this album, although he lost it in Fear of the Dark two years later, but he can be seen with long hair on compilation albums."
