Majority checked visually and those with significant issues were removed. There will still be discs with marks/scuffs/surface scratches but in the minority and will still be playable. several have been well played and loved. the vinyl condition ranges from Fair to EX. the majority are VGD and significant number are clean and EX. Generally this is a great collection that you will not be disappointed. The quality of covers is generally a grade less than the vinyl overall and many are aged/creased and have cuts/scuffs but rarely anything of real significance.
I hope you enjoy your item(s). I am an independent one-person operation and live or die by feedback. Please, when you receive one of my items, check it is what I’ve said it is in terms of quality/condition. If you have any cause for complaint whatsoever then please contact me immediately so I can resolve any issue you have fairly and quickly. I am very reasonable and unafraid of making financial compensation. IF you are unhappy with any item I have sent then please DO NOT keep this to yourself and months later post a neutral or negative comment. Why would anyone do that?
All items I sell have been thoroughly checked and I list any fault found. But I do make mistakes. I am human.
Things can and occasionally will go wrong – it’s called ‘Sods law’…despite the best intents of all parties. If I am at fault I will correct it. TELL ME IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM and I will do my very best to make amends.
However, there are those occasions when a reality check is needed. If an item is stated as being delivered by the delivery company (all my items have tracking) yet cannot be found I will bring up a case with them. Follow the tracking, make sure you WILL be in or there’s someone to collect for you or there’s a safe secure place to receive the item or your slot will take that package. If you are going to have your item left outside your front door in an unsecure environment I cannot be responsible for that and if the delivery co. says it’s delivered what we think doesn’t come into it. Ebay will accept that it has been. You will take the hit. Likewise if the item is lost or damaged by the delivery co. I take the hit. This is the reality of the world and neither the buyer or seller has to be at fault for this to happen. I will often use POD to help counter such things happening and it’s infrequent when they do. When they do we all need to be mature about it and any attempts to intimidate or extort me will fall on deaf ears and a report WILL be made.
AND YES…I COMBINE POST AND WILL CHECK WITH YOU WHETHER THE TOTAL COST IS OK.
NOTE THAT FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL ORDERS I GO THROUGH GSP (THEY SET THE POSTAGE RATE SO CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY/BID AND THEY SEND THE INVOICE). DO NOT BID unless you are prepared to pay their shipping charges. I am unable to combine postage on international sales. I politely request that you do not ask. Thank you.

GRADING FOR VINYL RECORDS
Only some of the records, tapes or CD’s have been play tested (unless stated otherwise) …I would spend my life playing and never get around to listing. I use the standard criteria for vinyl, insert and cover quality and will individually state that. E.g. M = MINT, NM = NEAR MINT, EX = EXCELLENT, VG = VERY GOOD. See grading below! However, I try to avoid for the best part any vinyl/CD’s below that standard. I also try to err on the negative side when grading and many customers have commented as to how their records were better than expected.
See all previous feedback.
Records/CD’s are graded to UK record collector standard and are as follows. A
plus (+) or – (minus) may be used to indicate that the record is just shy of
the next grading tier.
MINT (M)
Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly, never been played, possibly even
still sealed. Will only be used if I can guarantee the record is unplayed.
NEAR MINT (NM)
/INNER: Only the slightest of wear. There will
be no bends, folds, seam splits, cut outs, holes or similar
defects.
VINYL: Again, only the slightest of wear for example a couple of ultra-light
sleeve removal scuffs. The playing surface will not have any marks or scratches
and the label will be bright and clean with only light spidering at the very
most.
SOUND: There should be almost no loss of audio quality, the only audible flaws
should be some light static in between tracks and occasionally in very quiet
passages. Overall will sound bright, crisp and clean.
EXCELLENT (EX)
COVER/INNER: There will be some light age related wear this is normally in the
form of a few light creases around the spine and the beginning of some light
ring wear. The sleeve will be nice and solid with a fully legible
spine.
VINYL: The playing surface will have a couple of very light marks or scratches
that are superficial flaws and will not affect the sound quality. Labels will
be bright and clean but may have some light wear around the spindle
hole.
SOUND: Some slight loss of audio quality is to be expected with the occasional
light click (no pops). Some light surface noise may be heard in the quietest
parts of the record.
VERY GOOD (VG)
COVER/INNER: Age related wear will be evident in the form of creases, upturned
corners shelf, edge and ring wear. Writing, cut outs, stickers and/or their
residue may also be present but not in conjunction with more than two of the
aforementioned age-related defects.
VINYL: Light scratches, marks and groove wear will start to be evident. Labels
may have writing, staining, stickers and/or their residue although not all of
these at the same time.
SOUND: A significant loss of audio quality will be present in the form of light
pops, clicks and surface noise however it will not be enough to overpower the
music and will still be a nice playable and listenable copy.
GOOD (GD)
COVER/INNER: The sleeve will start to be overwhelmed by flaws and may have some
or all of these; seam splits, bends, folds, creases, stickers, residue,
writing, cutouts and staining. Although it will be heavily worn the sleeve will
still be able to serve it's original purpose of holding the
record.
VINYL: I avoid! SOUND: I avoid.
FAIR (F)
It’s not fun watching others record, mix or have overt control producing music born of your own ideas and paid for by your money. So it has been every time I’ve made music. Don’t get me wrong quite often help has been welcomed. Sometimes it has been used by others to take control and take credit. After a while you get sick of it…see the diminishing creative returns and throw in the towel. Over the years I’ve tried to grapple with new music tech as its come along. Getting a grip with publishing or web programmes hasn’t been a problem. I even learnt printing press up and running in days and once took a course re; 24 track mixing desk but when I came to use my notes made nonsense and besides beuing able to name buttons and faders and what they did it was a pointless task plus £ was always an issue as was lack of confifendce in my own ability although that hasn’t stopped many a musician especially if like me then have little or no talent. Creative ideas never short although I quite often cant see whats right before me.My singing is OK but crooner average…I’ve flailed at guitar for as long as…and feedbasck is an art I’ve mastered but that’s where it ends. Mcan’t play paino, bass, harp or the drums! Another attempt 10 yeasr ago led to a riot of domesticity getting in the way and despite a few3w tracks being recorded game over! And 6 yeasrs ago one track salvaged and a whole album lost due to overreliance on one person who is a charlatan at best…I did get to use equipment from back in the day and regain both confidence and insight…and day one was able to find the riff for Moscow Idaho and other tracks released on r9ouska…the mystery has gone Rodney sorry. Fior a moment I even thought shit I can do this…theres no need for me to be in awe and I have been. Perhaps my monety can go into my (that’s me,) project for onmcve! Then along came Covid…now one thing I do remember from teaching students is SWOT …your strwengthjs can be weaknesses and vice versa and threats can be opportunities. The time spent in isolation proved too good an opportunity not to look again. Still, I had to get to grips with the tech…which obviously somehow I have and with time and ex0perience of knocking down 100+ ideas committed to tape 9 are finally remixed. Do all those aspiring to be musiciansd ( I can’t even call myself that now yet I’m making music so… and even better depsitre my shortcomings have produced the tracks before you)
So Pro tools has given me complete control over my ideas. Guitar still crap but able to lay good beats and synth bass et alm riffs (with playing o0ver/layer8in gb etc) usuing a MACHINE X….botred of all the sounds now and perhaps wioth more musicianship could’ve come up with something better but also because of my shortcomings I’m made leaps that others wouldn’t have…at the end of the day…
