La Delio Valdez an orchestra of fifteen musicians. El Tiempo y la Serenata is the result one year after the pandemic. This is the most introspective album of the Argentine orchestra, but no less dance and cumbiero for that. An album that represents, right from the title, those two apparently antagonistic climates: that of stillness and movement, that of solitude and collective union, that of distance and closeness. La Delio Valdez continues to maintain its genetics as an orchestra heir to the sound and spirit of both the Colombian Caribbean coast and the straight cadence of the Argentine cumbia of projects such as Los Palmeras, Amar Azul or Los Charros, although even with certain murguero airs and carnivals. Although it is clear that is perceived the air not only of melancholy and nostalgia, but also that solitary work that each of the members has had in this new way of composing during the pandemia.
