Nathan Davis's quotient is a superb one featuring Francy Boland on piano, Jimmy Woode on bass and Kenny Clarke on drums.The 70s jazz cat also called upon school friend and trumpeter Carmell Jones for this one (just before he went on to record the famous Song for My Father album with Horace Silver). Now on 45 for the first time ever and transfer from original analogue master tapes, it comes with authentically recreated artwork on heavyweight sleeves. The music is truly beautiful, swinging jazz with soprano sounds and a tight rhythm section that never lets up.
