Ursuline High School Choir 78rpm 12" - EMI private recording. This is a private recording made by an Ursuline High school choir - hand written on the label. Extensive researches have failed to identify the school that made the record. It appears to have been professionally produced by EMI but whether the record ever went into production is not known. There are numerous Ursuline High Schools, Colleges and Convent Schools both in the UK and America but this record is certainly made in the UK. There is no clue as to the date but another school made a similar recording in 1960, although this is not vinyl and is a 78 rpm. This is "Recorded by EMI studios Ltd London England" which appears to be the famous Abbey Road Studios. The record is single sided and although it doesn't have a matrix number, there is a number embossed onto the label which reads "CTPX 16633- 1". The record is in excellent condition apart from that which appears to be a burn mark about 1" long extending 1/8th of an inch into the record. There appears to be 3 tracks on the record.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who could identify the school involved or the year of production.
