ELVIS PRESLEY – LOT OF FOUR ALBUMS: ELVIS’ GOLDEN RECORDS (LPM-1707), SPINOUT (LPM-3702), DOUBLE TROUBLE (LSP-3787) and CLAMBAKE (LSP-3893)

ELVIS’ GOLDEN RECORDS (LPM-1707) – FIRST PRESSING

RECORD: VG- with a couple scratches on Side 1, Track 1 (“Hound Dog”) which can be felt with the fingertip. Expect audible “ticks’ at the very least! The remainder of this Hollywood pressing does show some light scuffs but should play very well. The labels are without any writing or stickers, but do show spindle marks. This album was released in April of 1958 and includes all of the huge hits that made Elvis the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll”!

COVER: VG+ non-“RE” original cover! This original cover reads “After thirty-one grueling ‘takes’, a satisfactory master was finally made” in the lower paragraph of the first column on the back. “RE” copies read “After several rehearsal ‘takes’, a satisfactory master was finally made”. There is no tape, writing, staple holes or unwanted stickers anywhere on this cover. However, a 6-inch upper seam split as well as a 4-inch lower central edge break are present (please see all photos). The original “RCA Victor” inner sleeve is included.

SPINOUT (LPM-3702) – PROMO COPY!

RECORD: FAIR with pleasing, glossy surfaces. However, there are a moderate amount of light scratches and scuffs, one of which results in a repeat on Side 1, Track 6 (“Beach Shack”), which is the reason for the low grade. The labels on this Rockaway pressing are VG++ (EXC) and show only light wear.

COVER: VG+ with “NOT FOR SALE – PROMOTION USE ONLY” punched into the upper left corner of the back side (please see all photos). Some edge & corner wear is noticed along with a 2-inch central spine break. Light ring wear is seen on both sides. A period-correct “RCA Victor” inner sleeve is included.

DOUBLE TROUBLE (LSP-3787)

RECORD: VG+ with pleasing, glossy surfaces for the grade. There are a good amount of light scuffs and scratches, none of which can be felt with the fingertip. This Hollywood pressing should play quite well! The labels are clean and original.

COVER: VG+ with edge and corner wear as well as wear along the spine and ring wear on both sides. A small amount of surface loss is seen on the back side from some sort of sticker removal. A 1-inch upper seam split is noticed. There is no tape, staple holes or writing anywhere on this cover. The original ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40C) inner sleeve is included. Central edge splits are observed.

CLAMBAKE (LSP-3893)

RECORD: VG+ with beautiful glossy surfaces! There is one needle scratch involving Tracks 2 & 3 on Side 2 that result in several audible “ticks”. The remainder of this Rockaway pressing plays very well with clear high fidelity! The labels are simply beautiful and fully original.

COVER: VG+ with no seam splits, tape, writing or unwanted stickers. However, there is a pair of pinholes to the upper left corner from a small price tag staple which has been removed (please see all photos). There is some edge and corner wear as well as some light ring wear on the front. The back side shows no ring wear! The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40C) inner sleeve is included.
