Ronnie James Dio will go down in history as one of the greatest hard rock singers of all time. He began in a band called Elf, then was asked to join Richie Blackmore's Rainbow. After Rainbow, it was on to Black Sabbath, replacing Ozzy. In the mid 80s, he started his namesake band, Dio. Then back to Black Sabbath in the 90s, then Dio again. Then Heaven and Hell, which was Black Sabbath, (the Dio era), under a new name. Then Dio one last time, before losing his battle to cancer in 2010. RJD was an amazing singer and songwriter, and we are lucky enough to have a decades long legacy of music to remember him by! (RIP, RJD. You were one of the best! And a great humanitarian. You are missed.)

In the early 2000s, Dio released a couple of albums before the final studio album ('Master of the Moon') in 2004. The album 'Majica' came out in 2000, and 'Killing the Dragon' came out in 2002, TWENTY years ago! In today's face-melting good deal, both albums ('Majica' and 'Killing the Dragon') are represented here with picture disc LPs!

First up is the song "Annica", on a 12" picture disc! Using artwork based on the original 'Majica' cover, "Annica" is an unreleased track, as well as a live and a studio version of the track "Lord of the Last Day". This also adds an 18 minute spoken word track on the story of Majica! This comes in its original PVC jacket, with hype sticker. Bought new, and never played! I never even took it out of its jacket!

The second pic disc in this Dio double shot is the 12" pic disc for the TWENTY year old release "Killing the Dragon"! It's that wild artwork from the original album's cover on the A side, and song titles, credits, and more great artwork is on the B side. This one is a bit rare, and can usually fetch up to $50 or so. This also comes with its original PVC jacket, with hype sticker. And this too, was bought new, and never even taken out and handled or played!
