L. A. Woman is the sixth studio album by the American rock band The Doors, released in April 1971. It was the last album recorded by singer Jim Morrison, who died three months later in Paris. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it at number 362 on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. It is an almost exclusively blues album, a style that in previous works had been no more than an influence, although increasingly marked and already predominant in the previous "Morrison Hotel". The recording was a bit tense. Relations between the band members, partly due to Morrison's character, were somewhat deteriorating. The producer of all his records, Paul A. Rothchild, refused to participate in this one after hearing it. Finally, they produced them themselves together with sound engineer Bruce Botnick. The album was recorded between November 1970 and January 1971 in the band's rehearsal room, which was converted into a provisional studio. Definitely a classic album that you must have in your vinyl collection. Now released in a Deluxe Special Edition with a fantastic Colored Green Vinyl and 12-page booklet containing the history behind the album (booklet is in Spanish).
