This is a funky collection of four used 70’s soul albums by Bootsy Collins, The O' Jays, Hot Chocolate and War. These are all original, US pressings and have all been washed in a Spin-Clean. Condition varies from Near Mint to VG. See photos for details.
Bootsie's Rubber Band: "Stretching’ Out In Booty’s Rubber Band" released on Warner Bros. Records BS 2920 in 1976.
Record is VG. Both sides still have plenty of gloss but also show quite a few hairline marks and signs of having been played. Both sides play without skipping but does have ample surface noise throughout. Labels are both clean with some spindle marks. Jacket is maybe Good Plus or low VG. Both front and back have significant ring- and surface wear. There is some writing on the front along with a 1/2" cutout saw mark on the left side. The edges have quite a bit of wear and the start of split seam along the bottom. Back cover has water staining along the bottom.
Hot Chocolate: "Every 1’s A Winner" released on Infinity Records INF 9002 in 1978. Album is Near Mint. This was actually sealed as new old stock when I got it a few weeks ago. I opened it, washed and played it exactly 1 time, so it's still like new. Both sides are super glossy and may have only the tiniest paper scuffs that do not affect the sound. It plays beautifully without skipping and barely has any surface noise even during quiet passages. Labels are free of marks. Jacket is also like new, with hype sticker and price tag attached to the shrink wrap. There is a crease in the top left corner, otherwise it's just like it was puled off the shelf in 1978. Includes original record company generic inner sleeve.
O’Jays: "Collector’s Items" best of double album released on Philadelphia International Records PZG 35024 in 1977.
Records and jacket are both VG+ All 4 sides are shiny with hardly any signs of having been played. All of it plays without skipping. Sides 1, 2 and 4 are strong VG+ with some light surface noise between songs. Side 3 has some inner groove distortion towards the end of the last track so that side is closer to VG. Gatefold jacket is in nice shape with strong colors and no writing or split seams. There is some light wear along the edges and corners and a few light creases along the top. The front has the beginning of light ring wear, which is more pronounced on the back. Includes original record company generic inner sleeves.
War: "Greatest Hits" released on United Artists Records UA-LA648-G in 1976.
Record is VG. Both sides are still glossy but have some light hairline marks, some of which may be audible. I have not listened to this one, but there don't appear to be any marks significant enough to cause it to skip. Labels have some light spindle marks but otherwise look great. Jacket is in solid condition, with some light surface wear on both sides, along with some edge wear. Front cover has a 1" square mark from a price tag was likely removed. No split seams or writing. Custom printed inner sleeve is in excellent shape, with a small section of wear along the bottom edge.
Albums will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard LP mailer, with the records stored outside of the jackets to avoid seam splits. See my feedback and buy with confidence! If you have any questions, please message me. Winning bidder agrees to pay within 48 hours of auction’s end.
