In the 80s, music was as important as fashion was. In fact, fashion styles and music walked hand in hand. There was an amazing diversity of bands competing for our dollars, and what diverse bunch there was! Two such 80s bands that fit that description were Frankie Goes to Hollywood and the Tom Tom Club!

FGTH was produced by Trevor Horn, and set the world on fire with such hits as "Relax", "Two Tribes", "Welcome to the Pleasuredome", and "The Power of Love". The song "Two Tribes" became a massive hit, with several diffrent remixes of this great track released. In today's great deal, you'll get a copy of the 12" picture disc single for "Two Tribes" (and the 'Carnage Mix'), a 'hidden' mix of the song "War", and a third track titled "One February Friday (only bullets can stop them now)".

The Tom Tom Club was a side project of the rhythm section of the Talking Heads. (Drummer Chris Franzt and bassist Tina Yemouth.) Chris and Tina created the Tom Tom Club as an outlet for music that was different than the Talking Heads. Several songs are great, such as the vintage "Genius of Love", and their cover of an American classic song "Under the Boardwalk". This 12" picture disc is three tracks: the long version of "Boardwalk", a remix of "On, On, On, On...", and a remix of "Lorelei". And the artwork is that cool Tom Tom Club sketched art, on both sides! Vinyl looks really good, with only a few light surface marks that I can see. I can't vouch for the sound, as I never play specialty vinyl, such as pic discs and colored vinyl records. But a nice 80s music double shot of picture discs from two awesome alternative bands, available now, and at a nice price!
