There is a truly endless amount of essential ambient and jazz music that has been recorded in the Far East over the decades and much of it is hard to find, expensive and hugely sought after. Thankfully, plenty of it gets reissued if you wait long enough and this is one such gem that first came on Klaus Schulze's Innovative Communication. Morning Picture was recorded in 1984 and kickstarted a new ambient trend that flourished thereafter. It is defined by plenty of beautiful melody and is a real jewel in the Japanese Balearic crown.
