With his ninth album, 'A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society', Tobias Sammet invites you to join him on an enchanted journey into his own version of reality, which is full of fantastic events and encounters. 

It is a captivating, deeply magical universe that Tobias Sammet has built over the past two decades. Since his debut 'The Metal Opera' (2001), the Peter Pan of international rock and metal has romped between metal, classical and rock, beguiling the biggest festivals around the world with his traveling circus and working with the greatest voices in the metal world including Alice Cooper and Scorpions’ Klaus Meine.

The reward for his passionate work and years on the road: number one in the German album charts for the latest record 'Moonglow' (2019), more than three million albums sold, over 250 million streams, sold-out world tours, and a fan base that listens to him live and in front of the home speakers with excitement and enthusiasm. Sometimes Tobias Sammet, also renowned for being singer, producer and songwriter in Edguy, cannot quite believe it all himself. "My whole life is based on childish ideas and dreams, which amazingly I still get away with," he says incredulously. "Even after 30 years, music is my favourite, biggest, only hobby. And the fact that I can make a living from it fills me with deep gratitude."

But of course he also does a lot for it. The construction of a new studio, for example - an investment that proves to be a pandemic stroke of luck in 2020: In his new realm, Sammet could indulge in his art while ignoring the world outside. "I was faced with more time than ever before," he looks back. "So I was paying as much attention to details and little things as I had in my early years. On the last records, I outsourced certain things to my producer Sascha Paeth, mostly just to save time. However, now I didn't have to save time. There hasn't been a record that sounded so much like me." Tinkering with sounds for nights, writing parts for his duet partners, arranging and singing the choirs himself - on "A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society" Sammet is not only impresario, conductor and musician, he also handles a majority of the vocals, and presents himself at the top of his game.

The project, which used to be particularly famous for its changing guest singers, has long since become a band, a family. "We even have a joint WhatsApp group where there's always something going on," Sammet grins. “We are a conspiratorial bunch, a gang."

On "A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society" a lot of old acquaintances duel with Tobias Sammet in the vocal department: Eric Martin, Michael Kiske, Ronnie Atkins, Geoff Tate or Bob Catley, for example. "I wanted a classic Avantasia album, so of course I relied on people who accompany Avantasia for a long time. They are also part of this band, thus there is no need to change that all of a sudden."

Still, of course, there are still voices he has always wanted to work with. On his new album, the contributions from Floor Jansen and Ralf Scheepers make him particulay happy. He had intended the power ballad ‘Misplaced Among the Angels’ for the Nighwish vocalist. “The song was ready and she could well imagine to sing it but was not sure if it would fit her tone”, Sammet details. So, he quickly wrote the rocking, symphonic "Kill The Pain Away" for their duet. “The rest was a matter of days and after she had finished nailing this track, she was more comfortable with “Misplaced Among the Angels”, too, and sang it without further ado. And delivered like a beast!"

We ship all orders exclusively via Royal Mail. We offer various shipping methods throughout our store. Please check each individual product’s shipping options and rates carefully before buying.

Get It Fast! Our handling & despatch time is typically less than one business day.

Orders received before 2.30pm from Monday to Friday will be despatched on the same day. Orders received over a weekend will ship on the following Monday. Please note that you will receive a despatch notice on the day that the order has been prepared for shipment.

Orders received during the weekend of a UK public holiday will ship on the earliest available working day.

Please double-check that the full, correct shipping address has been entered before completing checkout. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the shipping address is correct. We cannot change a shipping address once the order has been processed and dispatched.

Royal Mail Special Delivery - A guaranteed premium service. Next working day, guaranteed before 1pm. Fully tracked. If you need the item urgently, for example for a special occasion, we strongly advise upgrading to Special Delivery shipping.

International Postage Options
We ship all international orders via Royal Mail International Standard Airmail (for exceptions, please see below). This normally takes 5-18 days from shipment, up to a maximum of 40 days (this may vary relative to proximity to the UK).

For Australia and New Zealand, please allow 7-21 days from shipment. Once your order enters your country, the final mile delivery will be handled by your national mail carrier (e.g. in the USA, it will be delivered by USPS).

IMPORTANT: Royal Mail International Standard Airmail does not include tracking. While we recognise that full end-to-end tracking is included as standard in many countries, unfortunately, this is still a premium service in the UK through Royal Mail (our national mail carrier). If you require a tracked service, please contact us via eBay messenger for tracked shipping rates.

Please be aware that sometimes, disruptions and delays out of our control may occur. Unfortunately, this is particularly prevalent with the current COVID situation. If you have not received your order within 40 days after purchase then please do contact us.

Customs Charges
We understand that for international customers, a fee to receive your order may be charged by your local customs authority, whether this charge occurs or not is completely out of our control. Returns & Exchanges

We offer a no hassle 30-day right-to-return policy.

If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with your order, please contact us within 30 days of receiving it. Please contact us via eBay’s messaging service with your order number, and specify whether you require a refund or an exchange. We will provide detailed return instructions, and then issue a refund or process an exchange upon the item's safe return to us. Please note that we require all returned goods to be returned in the condition in which they were despatched.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund or exchange returned items that have clearly been worn, washed, soiled or intentionally damaged. If in our opinion any of these situations apply to a returned item, we reserve the right to refusal of refund.

Return postage costs
Eyesore Merch cannot cover return postage costs if the item is no longer desired, does not fit, or for any customer error (for example, if the wrong item was ordered).

We will cover the return postage costs if an item arrives in a defective or damaged condition, or if we sent an incorrect item.

Cancellation
If you place an order but then decide that you no longer want the item(s) then you have the right to cancel your order and request a full refund, no questions asked. However, if your order has already been processed and despatched before your order is cancelled, then please refer to our right-to-return policy.
