Mega sad indie from The Reds, Pinks & Purples, the Californian group who describe their own style as 'post-indie'. 'Is Your Mind That Free?' and 'Saw You At The Record Shop Today' both originally appeared on a split 7" wich saw to much demand on their first release; lyrically and thematically, they contained ideas of wistful, banal living, with musings on futile love cropping up between vinyl digging spates, dysfunctional holidays and poetry sessions. Now 'They Only Wanted Your Soul' follows as the much-awaited album expansion, and contains much of the same.
