Marty Robbins “Gunfighter Ballads” Original Columbia Mono 1959 LP 1349.
First issue with Columbia late Fifties “six eye” label.
This album has been through countless reissues but the mono mix is the best way to listen to the songs as the vocals are more pronounced and centered. Stereo was considered a fad and an afterthought. This the most desirable version.
Cover: torn and some rub wear but not completely apart and writing legible. No names. Wrinkling present. No water or mold damage.
Record: Good+. Scuffed but no heavy gauging. Plays with some snaps, crackling. Label is legible but wear around spindle hole. No skips.
Overall, well loved and heavily played but enjoyable and essential to Robbins and country fans.
