Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab was founded by Brad Miller. MoFi (MFSL) acquired licenses from major labels to remaster limited-edition audiophile versions of their recordings in 180 gram half speed including this 2LP Don Sebesky: Three Works for Jazz Soloists & Symphony Orchestra.

A note from the producer: It is my belief that in this collection of compositions there exists a conceptualization of the music of the 80’s. Containing jazz and classical elements it is never-the-less neither a jazz nor a classical record per se, and certainly bears no comparison with other contemporary records. It is, by design and influence a combination of jazz and classical idioms, which, largely as a result of it’s adventurousness and originality, defies categorization. The only classification that truly fits I that of “20th Century Music.”
