Parklife is the third album by British rock band Blur, released in April 1994 on Food Records. Parklife brought Blur back to prominence in the UK, thanks to their four hit singles: "Girls & Boys", "End of a Century", «Parklife» and «Until the end». Certified four times platinum in the UK within a year of its release, the album would be one to define the emerging Britpop scene, alongside future rivals Oasis' album Definitely Maybe. Britpop would also be the foundation for the broader Cool Britannia movement. Since then, Parklife has acquired cultural significance above and beyond its considerable sales and positive reviews, cementing its status as the benchmark of British rock music. The record has sold over five million copies worldwide. In 2015, Spin added the album to their list of "The 300 Greatest Albums of 1985-2014".
