Senderos de Traición is the second studio album by the Spanish band Héroes del Silencio, recorded at the Kirios studios (Madrid) under the production of Phil Manzanera for Sound & Management (Zurich). It was mixed at Metropolis Studios (London), with Keith Bessey as sound and mixing engineer. It is considered an introspective album and very much in keeping with the time, making a fusion of sounds between gothic rock, pop and hard rock. Specialized publications cite influences such as The Cult and The Mission. Despite the fact that with El mar no cesa (1988) they had achieved an extraordinary debut on the national scene, the group was not very satisfied with the sound, which according to them, it did not reflect his live performance. The LP begins with what would be two of the group's most popular songs, "Entre dos tierras" and "Maldito duende". It was the first number one in Spain and the first album to enter the sales charts in Germany. It was a great success both nationally and internationally. In the August 2009 issue, in the Spanish edition of Rolling Stone magazine, Senderos de treason was considered the second best Spanish rock album.
