Avis released only a small number of records in the mid-80s but they were all real soul pearlers. This one, 'Baby, This Love I Have' and 'Simple Things' is not dated but presumably form the same era on the same Feline Records label. FMG serve its up here on a tidy 7" with two remixed versions. The first is a drawn out and romantic affair with the lovestruck vocals and deep soul grooves melting your heart. It's a buttery performance from Avis full of yearning. On the flip is the Fraternity remix instrumental version which is even more slow and sensuous.
