Numero first introduced us to Chicago's Pastor T.L. Barrett and The Youth For Christ Choir by reissuing their 1971 private press gospel funk album Like A Ship. Since then there has been Do Not Pass Me By Volume 2, which was another superb collection of gospel funk and soul jewels and now comes a new limited edition, gold marled 7" with two more of his honeyed sounds. The first is the title track of that aforementioned album, which was amazingly written, produced and conducted the Barrett was just 29. The second is no less special. 'Nobody Knows' has gorgeous bacon vocals and life-affirming rhythms and bass.
