DESCRIPTION

Jeff Buckley - “Grace” Columbia Records 88697269501 (Stereo) from 2008. Hard to find 2008  Vinyl Reissue of the 1994 Classic / Pop / Alternative / Rock album from Jeff Buckley. Produced by Andy Wallace. In the Original Cover with NO Cutouts or Promo markings. On the Red Columbia labels. Includes the Original Picture and Credits Inner Sleeve. It is not stated anywhere that I see but the vinyl weighs in at right about 180 Grams on my scale. The Runout Vinyl markings read:

CONDITION

The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some fairly slight shelf wear, edge creasing and corner softening/ dinging/wear. There are little spots of wear on the spine and top seam. Still solid with no splits, stains, writing, tears, promo marks, etc. and would rate VG. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition. There are some overall scuffs, marks and faint hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something that can be felt with a fingernail. There is a cluster of marks that I can’t really describe on side 2, song 1 - see pic - that causes semi repeating soft tics thru the 2nd half of the intro, 2nd chorus and the first few seconds of the 3rd verse. VG visually. Other than the above, plays well, mostly VG+ or better with a few spots of random light groove noise and soft tics. Nothing else that really detracts and might be improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. Not for audiophiles but a good player. The Labels are Near Mint. The inner has a 2” part split on the bottom seam and wear in the center of both side seams.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less!
