Cat: LT 073. Rel: 26 Oct 20
Techno
For the last few years, German producer Narciss has been at the forefront of the fusion of trance and techno, delivering tracks and EPs that sound like a cooler, more underground take on Drumcode's gargantuan, big-room friendly sound. He's at it again on the Language of Love EP, his first outing on Lobster Theremin. He begins via the slamming beats, razor-sharp trance synth riffs and mind-melting acid lines of 'Diable Jambe', before bouncing between more uplifting (but no less heavy) fare (the '90s MFS style romp that is 'Sundowner (Body 2 Body Remix)'), Robert Hood-influenced hypnotism (the warehouse-ready throb of 'Detroit Smash'), and TB-303 powered acidic tech-trance ('Fragments of a Language of Love').
