CONDITION DETAILS Still in ORIGINAL SHRINK-WRAP (opened). Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover looks great, light scuffing, creasing and slight discoloration along opening edge (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (lyrics). Spine is unbroken and easy-to-read. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use. Barcode on back. "G1" in runouts denotes a Carrollton, GA pressing. 'F' identifier on label. (Not a cut-out.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Christmas Portrait is the first Christmas album recorded by The Carpenters (and the only one issued during Karen Carpenter's lifetime). The album sold one million copies and included a revised version of the group's signature Christmas song, Merry Christmas Darling. It also includes one of two versions of Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town. The album was supported by a Christmas TV special of the same name, featuring The Carpenters, that aired on ABC on December 19, 1978.
