The quirky and somewhat strange band Devo formed in 1973. That's FIFTY year ago! Hard to believe that electronic new wave music was around a half a century ago, but it was. Devo released their debut album in 1978, with the official title of 'Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!' That's right, that's the title! That album features two singles from Devo, the remake of the Rolling Stones hit "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", and "Jocko Homo".

Devo released albums through the 80s, and came out with maybe their best, in 1981, called 'The New Traditionalists'. That LP gave us the hits: "Through Being Cool", "Working in the Coal Mine" (originally a Lee Dorsey hit in 1966, written by New Orleans music legend Allen Toussaint), and a song called "Beautiful World". In today's really good deal, you'll get a copy of "Beautiful World", on a shaped picture disc, and shaped like an astronaut's head! The A side is "Beautiful World", and the B side is another track called "Nu-tra Speaks (New Traditionalist Man)".

Vinyl looks awesome, and may not have ever been played. It comes in its original PVC jacket with hype sticker, but jacket is folded pretty bad. (Nothing a little creative flattening can't fix, though!) Other than the edge folded, jacket has no splits. A sweet, vintage Devo collectible from the beginning of the 80s! (Just remember that these early pic discs usually sound terrible, and almost always have lots of surface noise.)
