Dragon Ball and music have had a long history, from the Dragon Ball Z Budokai plagiarism scandal involving Kei Yamamoto to the rerecording of Dragon Ball Z music for American audiences to sound more epic (a trend that was big in Japan in the 90s, who had figured out what makes the American consumer tick by that time). Nippon Columbia is spearheading Dragon Ball's next big musical moment, a reissue of the classic anime's best hits, with some rare songs included too, pressed on clear, orange vinyl to mimic the eponymous Dragon Balls. The epic 10-track collection contains songs like 'Son Goku Song', sung by Goku's original voice actor, Masako Nozawa, as well as 'Makafushigi Adventure!' by the lead soundtrack singer Hiroki Takahashi - who was just a 20-year-old working as a grocer when he recorded the title sequence for one fo the most popular anime franchises of all time.
