Description: Ten Summoner’s Tales was Stings 4 solo album on leaving The Police. Released in 1993 the themes explored are love and morality in an upbeat mood. The title is a play on Sting’s surname, Sumner, crossed with Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. The album, which was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 1993 contains the hit singles “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You” and “Fields of Gold”. In 1994 , it was nominated for five Grammy awards, winning Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance ("If I Ever Lose My Faith in You") and Best Long Form Music Video. It was also nominated for, but did not win, Album of the Year, Record of The Year or Song of the YearThe album was recorded at Lake House, Wiltshire, mixed at The Townhouse Studio, London and mastered at Masterdisk, New York The cover of the album was photographed at Wardour Castle in Wiltshire and features Sting’s Iceleandic horse, Hrimnir. As with all Back 2 Black vinyl re-issues they’re faithful to the original vinyl release and they’re all pressed on 180gram vinyl and come complete with a Digital Download for the album.
