Long Beach, CA alternative rockers Sublime formed in the late 80s. By 1992, they released their debut studio album, and called it '40oz. to Freedom'. That record celebrated its THIRTY year anniversary a couple of years ago! (Hard to believe it's been that long...)

Sublime pretty much fell apart after the overdose and death of lead singer Bradley Nowell in 1996. They have done shows occasionally with guest singers through the years, and the surviving two members (Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson) put the band back together (with Bradley Nowell's son Jakob Nowell), in 2023. How cool is that? Sublime is pop, punk, hard rock, ska, reggae, surf music, and dancehall, to name just a few styles. And people STILL love Sublime!

They have become legendary, and are immensely popular, with only three studio albums released...(RIP Bradley. We know you're somewhere up there, cutting up, smoking, and writing songs. And I wish you could see how much people continue to love Sublime to this very day!)

When '40oz. to Freedom' was originally released, there were four different color picture disc LPs that came out. They used the sun's face from the original album cover, and one is blue, one is pink, there's a green one, and the fourth is orange (and they're all very cool!). The orange variation is the most common, costs the least, and is usually the easiest to find. The blue and the pink colors are pretty rare, and can cost anywhere from $60 to $90 or so. The green seems to be the hardest to find, and always costs the most. Like usually over $100!

Up for grabs today is the pink version of that three decade old ska and reggae rock classic! Add to your collection (if you're missing the pink variation), or start collecting all four today! This LP has some light scratches on both sides, but only visible if you turn it a certain way in a bright light. I can't vouch for the sound quality, as I never play specialty vinyl, such as pic discs or colored records. But the album has been remastered digitally, so there's much better ways to hear this masterpiece. Comes in a generic white sleeve. This is a rare and sweet 90s collectible, and would look great displayed anywhere, and is a great conversation piece!
