In 1992, grunge rock pioneers Alice in Chains released their second studio album, and called it 'Dirt'. It's a rock and roll masterpiece, and helped put Seattle grunge rock on the map! Bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice made grunge cool, got it played on the radio, and pretty much ended 80s hair metal's reign. Suddenly, everyone, including 80s bands, were making grunge sounding music in the 90s!

Alice in Chains still exists to this day, but with a different lead singer and bass player. Original AIC members Layne Staley and Mike Starr lost their battles with drug addiction, as well as their lives. (RIP Layne and Mike. I hope you guys have found the peace and tranquility that you were searching for. Both of you were amazing musicians, integral parts of an important band, and both of you are missed.)

Coming at you now is a super rare 7" picture disc for the single "Down in a Hole", taken from the 'Dirt' album, from 1993! This is an extremely limited UK import, and as most collectibles go, only a limited number were made. They can go for up to $100 on average, but not here, and not today! The A side is a great shot of the band, and the single's title. The B side is song titles and credits, and the B side track is another hit from 'Dirt', titled "Rooster". (Also a great track!) Vinyl has a few light surface marks on both sides, but nothing too bad. I can't vouch for the sound quality, as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records. But a really nice piece of music history to own, to celebrate the over THIRTY years of the 'Dirt' album, and the awesome tracks "Down in a Hole" and "Rooster"!
