Metal pioneers Judas Priest began their decades long career in 1969, but didn't release their debut album until 1974. FIFTY years ago! The band is still together, and still touring. I have tickets to see them with Sabaton in a few months! I first saw them back in the 80s, and watched Rob Halford drive a Harley out into the stage. They have ALWAYS rocked, and have ALWAYS put on a great show!

In 1979, Judas Priest released their second studio album. That record had the band change their style and sound, and gave us the metal hits "Victim of Changes" and "The Ripper". And the artwork is intense! A little over FORTY years ago, in 1983, Gull Records had a picture disc of this classic album made in France, and it's awesome! The record cover's artwork is on the A side, with wild and trippy colors, and song titles, credits, and small band pics on the B side. Made from a heavy vinyl, and feels like 180 gram (or more) vinyl!

Next up in this Judas Priest double shot, we have a 'best of' picture disc, released in 1984. It's got the 'Screaming for Vengeance' artwork on the A side, and a band pic is on the B side. ('Screaming' never did have a proper picture disc release until the 30th anniversary re-issue pic disc in 2012. With slightly different artwork.) That same original 'Screaming for Vengeance' artwork is also on a live pic disc, and has the words 'World Tour '82' on it. This copy is the clear rim variant, with no words on it, front or back. (There is a black rimmed version, also.) Song titles are on the hype sticker itself, and not on the vinyl.

Both are used, and from the 80s, so even in pristine condition, they will sound terrible, as pic discs in those days contained a lot of surface noise. 'Sad Wings' will come in the original generic PVC jacket it was bought in (from a used record store). The 'best of' pic disc comes with its original PVC jacket and hype sticker. Both jackets look alright, but are showing their age. Each record has light surface marks on them, but the colors are still really nice and these pic discs make a great pair of vintage Judas Priest collectibles! Take some Priest home with you today, because at this price, they may not be around for very long!
