Seattle hard rock and heavy metal pioneers Queensryche released their second full length studio album in 1986. Titled 'Rage For Order', it saw the band (briefly) go glam. Just check out the pic on the back! It's hard to imagine that these guys jumped on a bandwagon, but for a little while, they did. And of course, their label was pushing them in that direction...
The album, no matter how strange these guys looked, really rocks! It's full of great songs, such as "Walk in the Shadows", "London", and "I Dream in Infrared". There is also the big radio and MTV hit: "Gonna Get Close to You", a remake of a song by Canadian rocker Dalbello (Lisa Dal Bello). Both Queensryche AND Dalbello's versions are really awesome!
When the album was first released, the ring around the Tri-Ryche logo was blue. The label felt like the name of the album, as well as the band's name, were hard to see. Only a limited number made has that blue sky and cloud ring on the cover. It got changed to a black ring, with gold lettering, that was much easier to read. I actually prefer the blue ring, but no matter how I feel about it, it got changed permanently!
In today's rockin' good deal, you'll get a copy of that first press blue ring variant, and in amazing condition! It still has the shrinkwrap on it, (but opened, and gently used), with hype sticker and price tag on the outside of the shinkwrap. (Check out that price! That's actually what an album went for in those days...) Vinyl looks really, really good, and is still all shiny and clean! Inside sleeve looking fantastic, and is a group shot (check out their hair!) with song lyrics on the flip side.
A sweet Queensryche collectible, from the original band, and the beginning glory days! The artwork is inspiring, and the music is profound, intense, and hard rocking. If you're into hard rock and heavy metal from that decade long ago, this is a top copy! Grab this bad boy today, and give your turntable a reason to live!
