The fact that you are viewing this listing suggests you know exactly how rare and desirable this recording is.
Rarely seen for sale online, and prices of more than $5000 have been seen in recent memory. The most recent eBay sale I can find was nearly 5 years ago with a hammer price of £1155.
The disc has been professionally cleaned by Canterbury HiFi using a VC-S2 machine and both surfaces are revealed to be pristine, with the exception of two hairline marks on Side 2: one on band 1 and the other on the final band 6. The first of these does not sound, while the second offers up one low-level click.
I cannot therefore claim NM, but if these were not present I would.
Nevertheless, please bear in mind that this disc will not have completely silent surfaces even when brand new, but the sound and recording quality is excellent overall.
HMV first issue LP CLP 1124 / Stampers 1N/1N Typical quiet surfaces with the normal low level vinyl surface noise, typical of 1950s recording. Labels NM with no spindle marks. New Nagaoka antistatic-lined inner sleeve used post-clean. Mailed in double-strengthened high-quality cardboard envelope by signed-for service. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have
